Hey all!!
It's been a little while! Sorry again, finals seemed to catch up with me! (EEKKK!! too many exams for my taste!) Well, it's that time of year again! I hope that everyone had a beautiful Christmas and is getting excited for the New Year. I know I am! It'll be my first in the City and I'm planning on being in Times Square to see it all first-hand :]
Along with the love and cheer that comes with the season, there's also a big one for us MAO girls—the Miss America Pageant of course! I am so excited! My mommy and I are going to be there cheering on our very own Miss California!! Yayyyy!!! I don't know about you all, but I just love the glitz and glam of Vegas—as can be expected, we are there for a pageant after all!
Haha sorry about all of the exclamation points, I guess my punctuation has always been a good indicator that I'm in a fantastic mood ;) <--as are emoticons, which I also use in excess, sorry! Anyhoo, After being crowned your Miss Westchester Coastal 2011, I've had a little bit of time to plan out some things that I want to happen for this year. And for Christmas, I asked that everyone instead of getting me presents, donate to CMN. Unfortunately people seem to really like buying me things and instead got me pretty, sparkly treats in the spirit of the season (which was a pleasant surprise for me, but also meant that my goal to raise $2000 was a little hankered...) But, fret not, we have a second chance!! My birthday is coming up on February 11! I'm going to be turning 21, so I'm asking that everyone who wants to get me a gift instead donate however much they can ($21 would be nice to celebrate, but no pressure for more or less, we're grateful for whatever you can give!) to the Children's Miracle Network/Miss America Scholarship Fund, at the below website:

(or you can look up my contestant page, by searching for contestants in California under "Millie Grgas")
It would be greatly appreciated!
In the meantime, I'm going to work on publishing a few pictures of the past month of competition and appearances!
Love you and see you all soon!
OH!! I almost forgot—I missed leaving a quote the last time I stopped by, so, here we go, two more to inspire us all:
"Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly."--Langston Hughes
"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."--Eleanor Roosevelt (I know I already left you one from her, but that woman was quite the orator in her day :] it makes me love her all the more)
Love in all that glitters!
xxx
Millie
Ps--I'll throw in a belated one for good measure "ho ho ho"--hope you can guess this one <3
